We have measured doubly differential cross sections (DDCS) for electron emission in ion-atom collisions for F, Cl, Br, I, and Au projectiles impinging on H2 targets for collision energies between MeV/u and MeV/u and electron emission angles between 0 and 70 degres. We relate the observed diffraction phenomena in the binary encounter region to diffraction structures previously. McConkey, C.E. Brion This volume contains the proceedings of the 19th International Conference held in Whistler, Canada in Julywhich covered the physics of electronic and atomic collisions. The International Conference on the Physics of Electronic and Atomic Collisions (ICPEAC) is the largest of the international conferences dealing with two-body dynamic interactions between photons, electrons, positrons, atoms, molecules, ions and clusters.

These subjects are of fundamental importance in quantum physics and chemistry. C/95 19th International Conference on the Physics of Electronic and Atomic Collisions (XIX ICPEAC) Whistler, BC, July Aug.

MITCHELL is Professor of Physics and Director of the Center for Chemical Physics at the University of Western Ontario. It has been well established that charge transfer processes are of considerable importance in thermonuclear fusion research.

Motivated by the recent studies of doubly charged ions with ground state and laser excited Li targets, we have calculated single electron capture cross sections from Li(2s), Li(*)(2p Sigma), and Li(*)(2p Pi) initial states into He(+) (n = 3,4,5,6) final states.

An ion-ion collisions facility has been built at Kansas State University (KSU) to study electron capture processes between two multiply charged ions. While the study of ion-ion collisions is still young compared to ion-atom and electron-atom collisions, a considerable amount of research has been done on systems where both of the beams were composed of singly or doubly charged ions.

by K. Takajanagi and N. Oda, (). A beam of MeV (3)He(4)He+ molecular ions was directed through a target cell containing a thin target of Argon gas. The reaction products emerging from the target cell were analyzed by an electrostatic deflector and detected by a surface barrier detector.

The decay rates of many rovibrational states of (3)He(4)He2+ were calculated using the phase shift method in order to find the states. Get this from a library!
